GMSH issue with crossing lines without intersection point

This is just a reminder for a strange issue we discovered when using the GMSH-Interface: If a geometry is included into the mesh generation process featuring lines that cross but do not have an explicit point of intersection, GMSH gives the strangest results (in homogeneous meshes as well as in adaptive meshes). An example is attached, the lines are marked in white.
