The McWorther test, which is very well known in the multiphase community, is now also available for the TH2M process. This is a 1D problem. The region is mostly (homogeneously) filled with a non-wetting fluid in the initial state. While one of the boundaries is closed, a boundary condition is applied to the other boundary at the beginning of the simulation, which corresponds to a higher water saturation. The wetting fluid displaces the non-wetting fluid from the domain according to the chosen characteristic relationship of the soil. The resulting saturation profile can be compared using a (semi-)analytical solution (http://mmg.fjfi.cvut.cz/~fucik/index.php?page=exact). Displacement and temperature fields were constrained by means of a domain-wide boundary condition.
