[git] Set automatic line endings on all files

[CL] Bugfix dropped_item_ids

Ensures native file endings on all platforms.

Should fix an issue where the GocadTSurface_Mesh_Test failed
on Windows as the reader cannot read .ts files on Windows
with Linux line endings.

RichardsM: Add missing saturation in bulk density computation

[NL] Store current dt in prev dt for next iteration.

This seems to be unused. At least the current benchmarks
do not need this special cases.

This avoids the mutable member. The data is computed
on every call anyway.
